How do you turn a product photo into an AI video ad?
Turn an approved product photo into a short video: prepare the frame, choose image-to-video, direct simple motion, inspect details, and add a CTA.

Start with an accurate product photograph, prepare the scene as a still, and animate that approved image with a simple motion prompt. Add your headline and call to action during editing. This separates product accuracy from motion, making problems easier to find.
Affogato's public product description includes image-to-video creation in its shared workspace. The exact settings depend on the model available in your account. See Affogato's overview.
Our example uses the supplied seated portrait with an Owala bottle beside the creator. Its exact retail colorway and size are not established here. You can use the same process for a candle, packaged accessory, or other product with a clearly visible shape.
1. Choose a reference that answers the important questions
Start with a sharp photograph that shows the product's actual color, outline, cap or closure, and label. Avoid images in which a hand hides half the item. If the product has essential back or side details, keep additional photographs available for review.
A single image does not describe every surface of an object. Asking the camera to orbit fully around a bottle may reveal invented details. For your first clip, choose a movement that stays close to the visible angle.
2. Prepare an approved starting frame
If your original photograph already works, use it directly. If it needs a new setting, open Image, choose Edit, and supply the product image as a reference to a compatible model.
Try:
The selected creator seated upright in a warm window-lit room, the referenced Owala bottle upright beside her and fully visible. Bamboo blinds, sheer curtains, colorful cushions, white crochet top. Preserve the face, bottle geometry, lid colors, and existing branding. Keep the bottle believably supported. No added text.

Supplied candidate starting frame, not a frame from a rendered video. Check the bottle's support and contact with the bedding before animating.
Inspect your own result next to the source photo. If the label or shape changed, fix the still before paying to animate it. For exact catalog fidelity, retain the original product photo rather than accepting an approximate recreation.
3. Open an image-to-video workflow
In Video, select an image-to-video option supported by an available model. Upload the approved still into its source-image input. Set a supported ratio suited to the placement and start with a short duration.
When preparing a vertical ad, create or crop the source deliberately so the product fits. Do not rely on a wide product shot becoming an effective vertical composition automatically.
4. Describe motion, not a new product
Use a restrained direction:
Slow, gentle camera push-in toward the bottle. The bottle stays upright and stationary. Preserve the original shape, cap, color, and label. Maintain the soft lighting and stable background. Keep the creator and her hands still. No cuts, rotation, or added objects.
Review the displayed credit estimate, then generate. Save the prompt and settings with the result so you can change a single variable if needed.
5. Inspect the entire clip
Watch at normal speed, then pause near the start, middle, and end. Check for a breathing silhouette, drifting label, floating base, or cap that changes shape. A clean first frame does not mean the rest of the video is usable.
If the product distorts, reduce the movement or duration. Avoid adding splashes, opening mechanisms, and full rotations until the simpler shot works.
6. Finish the ad in an editor
Add a short headline and one clear next step, such as “Explore the collection.” Use only claims supported by the real product. Bring in narration or music if useful, and leave enough time for the viewer to read the ending.
Affogato's Video Editor can be used where enabled; otherwise download the clip into your existing editing workflow. Verify the final export's framing and audio before publishing.
Can one photo make a full product demonstration?
It can support a short visual, but it cannot establish hidden product details or prove a function. Use actual footage when you need to demonstrate how a clasp, appliance, or mechanism works.
Next step: animate one approved frame in Affogato Video, then build controlled ad variations.
